SENIOR BID WRITER (10504)

Our client, a leading judicial services provider, has an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Bid Writer to join their team in their impressive London offices.
They are looking for an experienced Senior Bid Writer with a proven track record of winning tenders, ideally in the government sector. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience, with a demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and produce clear and compelling content. Creative presentation and document design skills would also be welcome.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Writing and editing of tender submissions, marketing materials, presentations and other collateral, developing compliant and compelling proposal content that aligns with brand and values

To identify win themes and bidding strategies through client research, document reviews, and liaison with operational teams

Coordinating input and liaising with contributors to ensure timely submissions

Proofreading of documents and ensuring consistent messaging, completeness and compliance

Contributing to and maintaining a content library – generating new content where appropriate and regularly refreshing existing material to ensure currency

Maintaining effective document management and version control for bid and bid related documentation

Completing work to a high standard and quality

Working with the Head of Business Development & Communications to review feedback and drive continuous improvement of bid submissions and other collateral

Developing & maintaining internal relationships with key operational staff and management to improve the flow of “good news” stories and technical content
Experience and skills required

Excellent written English, with the ability to write clear, concise and compelling text

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret ITT questions and structure a logical response

Exceptional attention to detail and proof reading skills

Sound understanding of bid and proposal best practice, ideally with APMP accreditation or training

Demonstrated public sector tendering experience, with a record of success in delivering winning bids

Highly competent in using MS Office and graphics software

Ability to build professional and amenable relationships with colleagues from diverse business disciplines at all levels

Ability to work effectively both independently & as a team member

Flexible and organised - ability to work under pressure, plan workload, and work within flexible hours to meet strict deadlines

Knowledge of the debt recovery, local taxation or parking sectors would be useful but not essential
